Hill led the Timberwolves to a pair of wins to start conference play as they defeated Yakima Valley 99-90 on the road and Walla Walla 90-70 at home. Hill averaged 26.0 points per game in the two wins to go along with 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals. He averaged 36.5 minutes played and shot 51.2 percent from the floor.

"Dionte was the spark plug that helped us to 2 wins to start region play," said head coach Doug Baxter. "His toughness and will helped us come back from a 17-point halftime deficit at Yakima on Wednesday to a 9-point win on the road. He continued with that spark to guide us to a home win against Walla Walla."
