2026 NWAC Baseball Championship Preview

LONGVIEW, Wash. - The 2026 NWAC Baseball Championship begins on Thursday at David Story Field on the campus of Lower Columbia College.

The tournament features the four same division winners from 2025 and four new No. 2 seeds. Everett, Linn-Benton, Spokane and hosts Lower Columbia return to the tournament, each as back-to-back region champions. All four teams earned automatic berths to the final site, while the other four spots were up for grabs at the Super Regionals last weekend.

Each of the Super Regional hosts came out of their respective regions without losing a game. Edmonds went 2-0 against Umpqua in the Super Regionals as the return to the final site for th 37th time after a one-year absence last season. Lane also returns after a short absense since 2023, defeating Bellevue in back-to-back games in the Super Regional. Pierce earned their first trip to the final site since 2016 after taking down Mt. Hood in two games. Lastly, Wenatchee Valley earns its fourth ever final site appearance and the first since 2008 as they beat Shoreline in a pair of games at their own Super Regiona. 

The tournament begins on Thursday with the four opening round games, starting at 9:35 a.m. Two teams will be eliminated on each of Friday and Saturday before four teams remain on Sunday. Two or three teams will be left on championship Monday.

Lower Columbia is making its record 51st appearance in the NWAC tournament, last winning the title in 2023. Two-time defending champion Linn-Benton is once again a No. 1 seed as they won the South with a 27-9 record.

Spokane once again won the East Region title with a 21-7 region record. The Sasquatch are coming off back-to-back third place finishes in the NWAC tournament. Everett has been a mainstay in the NWAC tournament as they once again took the North Region title with a 25-5 record, splitting the region title with Edmonds but earning the No. 1 seed due to their head-to-head advantage.

Game 1: N1 Everett vs. W2 Pierce - 9:35 a.m.

Game 2: S1 Linn-Benton vs. E2 Wenatchee Valley - 12:35 p.m.

Game 3: E1 Spokane vs. S2 Lane - 4:35 p.m.

Game 4: W1 Lower Columbia vs. N2 Edmonds - 7:35 p.m.
