Four events capped the weekend's NWAC XC action

The NWAC kicked off the second week of cross country action with events at Edmonds, Lane, Olympic and Umpqua.

Edmonds Invitational: Results
The Edmonds Tritons, in their first year of competition, took down team wins for both the men and women. The men took first place over Everett 23 – 34 and the women harriers outscored Pierce (another first year program) 22 to 33.  Edmonds sophomore Alek Schweisow won the 5k on the men's side edging freshman teammate Dylan Lennon by 7 seconds. Edmonds freshman Christina Savenkova led the way in the women's 5K winning over Everett sophomore Avery Daniels by 8 seconds.

Lane XC Invite: Results
The Lane Titans hosted 4-year programs from Busnell (formerly Northwest Christian University), Oregon Tech and the University of Oregon (men). The Titan men (72) placed third behind Oregon (24) and Oregon Tech (38) and were led by Abdi Ibrahim who finished fourth in the 8k.  The Titan women (42) took second in the 5K behind Oregon Tech (21) and were led by Piper Crook (4th place) and Olivia Flack (5th place).

Olympic Invitational: Results

First year programs from Whatcom Community College took all the hardware against Green River and Olympic. The Orca men placed first with three runners placing in the top four led by Roberto Aguilera and Ryan Clough in first and second place. The WCC women took the top three places lead by Alyce Harlan, Rubijean Stuit and Makenna Holz.

Umpqua Invitational: Results

Host UCC Riverhawks also took all the hardware down in Southern Oregon against the men's and women's teams from Southwestern Oregon and Chemeketa's first year women's team. UCC's Konrad Raum took first place for the men followed by an unattached runner Jaime Mejia-German and UCC's Tristan Wood.  Riverhawk Samantha Eichman led the way for the women followed by Chemeketa's Hanna Caldwell and teammate Kathryn Philbrook.

Both Raum and Eichman claimed their second consecutive wins on the season.

The next action for NWAC harriers will be the Lane Invitational and Green River Invitational on February 27. Teams from Chemeketa and Southwestern Oregon will fill out the Lane Invitational while Olympic and Pierce will be at the Green River Invitational.
