Whatcom and Green River XC Invitational Results

MEET RESULTS: Whatcom | Green River

Whatcom and Green River hosted XC meets in the NWAC's fourth week of cross country action this season.

The Edmond Tritons captured team wins at the Whatcom Invitational with the men edging Whatcom 27 to 28 while the Triton women (32) topped both Whatcom (40) and Olympic (47).

With a 5k time of 15:48.5, Whatcom's Roberto Aguilera Jr finished nearly a minute ahead of Edmond's Dylan Lennon (16:38.6). Olympic's Ryan Clough took third with a time of 16:45.5.

Edmonds' Christina Savenkova won her second race of the season with a time of 20:15 while Whatcom's Alyce Harlan (20:26.9) took second and Edmonds' Arella Rihn (20:42.6) finished third.

At Green River's meet at the Cedar River Trail, The Everett men defeated Green River 10 to 14 (non traditional scoring). Everett took the top two places with Ryan Barene (16:36.6) taking first and Jake Waterhouse (17:02.7) taking second.  Green River's Dhevin Pearson (17:37.2) placed third.

Pierce women won the women's side of the Green River meet scraping by Green River 19 to 20. The Gator's Moira Woods (19:00.6) soundly won her second race of the season defeating Pierce's Sophia Randal (22:09.8) and Valery Saavedra-Luna (22:22.2).

The next NWAC XC meet will be the Everett Invitational on March 13 feraturing teams from Everett, Edmonds & Whatcom.
